Wednesday Third Week of Lent
The person who is trustworthy in very small matters is also trustworthy in great ones; and the person who is dishonest in very small matters is also dishonest in great ones.
We often fall into the trap of thinking that we have do do something really big and grand in order to make a difference in the world. However, it is often the little things that make the biggest difference. The smile you give to the man who holds the door open for you, or being the one who holds the door open for someone, or giving a loved one a hug at the end of a long day… These little gestures of kindness can make a world of difference in someones life; and as the passage from Luke’s gospel tells us, once we master the little things the big things will take care of themselves.
Spend some quiet time today asking the Lord for the ability to remain trustworthy and faithful in the small matters.
