Thursday Second Week of Lent
Then Abraham said,
“If they will not listen to Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded if someone should rise from the dead.”
Luke 16: 30–31
In the parable of Lazarus and the rich man, Abraham foreshadows the rejection Jesus and his resurrection.
Jesus did not rise from the dead in order for mankind to believe, his resurrection was to save us from our sins. Our belief stems from the word of God, present in the Bible and proclaimed by the prophets.
Spend some quiet time with God today praying for the strength to believe in Him in everything you do.
I firmly believe all the truths that you have revealed and that you teach us through your Church, for you are truth itself and can neither deceive nor be deceived.
