He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: ‘The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.
Luke 24: 6-7
He is risen! Perhaps the most wonderful phrase in all the Gospels. God the Father raised our Lord Jesus Christ from the dead so that He might make known His power over death and prepare a place for us in His Kingdom. For by Christ’s dying on the cross our sins were forgiven. By Christ’s resurrection we are given eternal life.
So brothers and sisters, let us join the choirs of angels in singing:
Alleluia, alleluia, Christ is risen!
Spend some quiet time today with our risen Lord
